Leaving On a Jet Plane

in Money & Spending

We’re off to the airport! Our taxi leaves at 6.15 AM, and we should straggle into my mother’s house around 5 AM French time. My posting will be a bit lighter during the next month, but not by much as we’re taking my husband’s laptop with us. He’ll be working and I’ll be updating you on all the frugal fun we’re having as well as all the great (home-cooked but American!) food I’m eating.

I also have some fantastic guest posts coming up, from some great bloggers. I know you’ll want to stay tuned for those: there will be 10 guest posts spread out over the month.

There’s a new feature on the sidebar in the site: Our Vacation Numbers. This is where I’ll post our total spent, and unlike a savings account or emergency fund, you’ll be able to watch the numbers going down, down, down… but not into the negative! Any extra money will get added to the emergency fund, but I have a good spending plan in place… I hope!

This is going to be our most frugal vacation yet, and I hope that we’ll put those money saving tips to good use.
