Frugal Dad has an interesting post on what to have on hand in case of food or fuel shortages. I have about half the things mentioned, but would like to have all of them.
I was in the Carnival of Debt Reduction at Consumerism Commentary with my post on Student Loan Hell. I still haven’t called to get that straightened out. Avoidance, avoidance, avoidance- I know.
I was also in the Carnival of Money Stories at Piggy Bank Blues with the third part of my series on consumerism in France and America.
Finally, I was in the 6th Carnival of Snowflaking at Greener Pastures with my post on 5 Ways to Curb The Shopping Urge.
At the same time that I was writing about simplicity, so were Notes From The Frugal Trenches and Remodeling This Life.
Paid Twice talks about her plans for an allowance for her four year old. This is something that I’ve been trying to figure out for a long time. I like the idea of chore charts and responsibilities and contributing to the family and also learning about money… but then I never put any of the plans into action. In the same vein, Simple Mom also has a post on her daughter’s allowance along with a PDF for a chore chart.
