I saw a link to here from Mrs. Micah, this is a neat idea! I already have the thin cutting boards too because we bought some for camping and backpacking.

I am moderately crafty when I set my mind to something and this sounds doable! Not sure what you have against paying $1 per yard of fabric at Walmart though.

Hi ~ just wanted to say – this is a fabulous post. Thank you for the instructions and detailed pictures… a great source of inspiration! I am somewhat crafty, and like you, would rather rip out a seam than take the time to pin properly. I enjoy sewing, but am not that good since I’m not very patient, and usually do things in such a hurry or I don’t care if it looks absolutely perfect. Your stuff looks fabulous though! Great job!

You should sell those – though I suppose they’re time-consuming to make.

I’m crafty but I can’t sew, I just get too frustrated. I managed curtains for VG’s room when she was a baby, and thank goodness she still likes them. I think I was in some sort of sleep-deprived mania when I made them and I could probably never do it again!
