I think we should add another trait/characteristic to this: gold-diggers.
I don't mean to be rude, but the recent blog from the women in New York who are facing financial ruin because they were in relationships with bankers brought this to mind. Society has always deemed gold-diggers as people to be avoided, but we've never really looked at them in terms of a characteristic they use to blame others for their financial troubles. In the case of the women who dated or married bankers, their problems really don't have a lot to do with their significant other, it was their decision to forgo taking care of their finances themselves and relying solely on the care of someone else, strictly for monetary gain.

This has gotten me into a lot of trouble in the past, and I am trying to be better today. The procrastination is probably the worst, when money problems hit it is hard for me to face them instead of pushing them out of sight.

I have been (and often still am) a combo of the big spender and the procrastinator. I believe I did so the right way, by saving and doing proper research, but never the less spent money on high priced items. Now I am trying to be more frugal to make up for it.

Last year I would categorize myself as the big spender. Got made redundant and had to think outside of the box again which is a good thing I think. No regrets though.

I would say I was all of those at one point or another recently. Now I’m the saver.
