So this week was:
* barbecued pork chops, baked potatoes, bean salad, green salad
* barbecued steak, corn on the cob, grilled artichoke hearts (not a repeat)
* marinated barbecued chicken leg quarters, green beans
* chicken salad sandwiches, green salad with avocados and tomatoes
* bbq'd burgers and leftover veggies from other nights plus salad
Can you tell we got a new grill over the weekend? :)

(I'd seen it on your blog a few months back and just now got around to it.) I will say that I liked it and I was quite surprised that both of my girls ate it without any comments about the amount of vegetables in the sauce! Of course, I provided a bit of shredded parm cheese for a topping and we all know that makes anything better!

I read your menu and noticed the "asian" noodles on the menu. Yum! Did you ever get a chance to try the recipe of mine that you posted on here? It was the asian spaghetti and meatballs recipe I put together for the Friday Food series. I'm a feedback junkie and and after I get some, I tend to re-vamp my recipes.
I love this blog and I visit Almost Frugal every day!

I'm not a very, umm, shall how I say this?; exact cook. So if there's an ingredient or two (or three) missing, unless it's really crucial like baking powder, I just carry on anyway.
As for leftovers, my husband and I eat them for lunch during the week, and then typically one weekend lunch is a leftover meal as well.

Hi Kika,

I'm not a very, umm, shall how I say this?; exact cook. Also, I noticed you scheduled fourteen meals. Would you typically make a new supper each night (and not have leftovers even once)?

A couple questions: when you first purchase food and afterward create your menu, don’t you ever find that you’re missing two or three items to complete the chosen meals?
