I scored a great deal on chicken tonight at the grocery store. Three packs of two (albeit, tiny) chickens for €3.25 each. So tomorrow is going to be spent roasting four of them in my crockpot, shredding the meat, dividing it into little baggies and freezing it for many future meals. A good time is sure to be had by all!

Chicken is one of the cheapest meats you can buy as long as it is a whole chicken. As soon as they start cutting up the parts of the chicken and put it as legs or breasts in a package you are then being charged 3 or 4 times the whole chicken price. In the USA the price of a whole chicken is about .89 cents to $1.39 a pound. When it gets cut up the price jumps to $2.99 a pound and up.
