		<description>Chicken is one of the cheapest meats you can buy as long as it is a whole chicken. As soon as they start cutting up the parts of the chicken and put it as legs or breasts in a package you are then being charged 3 or 4 times the whole chicken price. In the USA the price of a whole chicken is about .89 cents to $1.39 a pound. When it gets cut up the price jumps to $2.99 a pound and up.
