We’re moving! We’ve given our landlords notice and are preparing to say goodbye to our tiny house, where we’ve been so happy for the past seven and a half years. And while we won’t actually be moving until the middle to the end of October, we’re knee-deep in the pre-packing stage. What’s that you ask? Why, it’s the getting rid of all the stuff I don’t want to pack into boxes, haul across town and unpack in the new apartment. I’ll have more on that during the week.

Hi Kelly and thank you so much for the link. Good luck with your move, I hope it’s as smooth as possible
This year I Have a 10 Things A Week rule with “Stuff” accumulating in out house: I have written about it on my blog. Basically, there is a wicker basket at our front door and every week 10 items must be placed in there to leave the house either as a sale, gifted to a friend or donated to charity. It keeps the zen flowing (as an item come in, others must go!) and as we get closer to planning our own interstate move later in the year, we’ll up the quota of items. It is a non-negotiable and every Sunday my kids look forward to gathering up their items to donate to the basket and go out for our afternoon to blow bubbles and drop off our items to charity!

Hi Kelly – if you’ve any stuff you want to sell on to a new anglophone Grenobloise, let me know. I’ve been here since May (I think we met at a WWNG thing) and am in need of a few bits and pieces. And I’m always interested in books. Good luck with the move. Where are you moving to?
Hxx

Kelly,
Where does someone go to get rid of stuff here? We’ve never really figured that out. We have old clothes (mostly children’s stuff) and some dishes and kitchenware… hate to keep it but don’t know what to do with it.
