I love Real Simple, and even though I no longer subscribe to the paper magazine or read it on a regular basis (international subscriptions are really expensive, so an issue a year brought back from the States is a real treat), I subscribe to their daily newsletters and read online. A daily email that I received a few days ago asked an interesting question:
What is the best thing money can’t buy?
You should go read the answers online, but then make sure to come back and answer here too!
For me, the best thing money can’t buy is time. Time to be with my kids, time to be with my friends and my husband, time to be by myself. Time to do things I like to do (reading, snuggling with my kids on the couch listening to them explain things), times to do things I don’t like to do (write my thesis, clean toilets). Time. I know I can pay people to do some things for me, but no matter how much money I spend (or not, to be precise), there will never be more then 24 hours in the day.
What is the best thing money can’t buy for you?

Sleep!
A good night’s sleep and I can take on the world; not enough and I’m dragging all day.
My best friend!
Unconditional Love absolutely cannot be purchased!!!
So many things! But I'll pick the natural beauty of creation. Sunsets, sunrises, rainbows, lightning, canyons, mountains, fields and more. The awe that inspires can't be bought.
My kids! and my family!
